Does Momo replace speech therapy?
No. Momo is a practice tool for home. It does not replace a licensed speech-language pathologist. If you have questions about your child's speech, please talk to a qualified professional.
Who is Momo for?
Parents and caregivers practicing everyday words with a child who is late to talk, roughly ages 2 to 6. It works best when you sit together, not as a game your child plays alone.
What if my child says the word but Momo doesn't hear it?
Tap Said it to count the word, or skip it. After a few tries Momo also suggests using the word in a short sentence. You decide what counts.
Does it work without speech recognition?
Yes. If speech recognition isn't available for a language or on a device, a listen and repeat mode keeps practice going.
What's free, and what's in Premium?
The Speech, People and Feelings packs are free. Momo Premium unlocks all 31 packs and removes ads, with a monthly or yearly plan. Eligible users may get an introductory offer. You can cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.
Which languages can we practice?
English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Finnish, Swedish and Norwegian. The learning language is chosen separately from the app's own language.
Where is our data stored?
The child profile and practice history are stored on your device, and Momo doesn't use accounts. Our Privacy Policy explains analytics, ads and speech recognition in detail.
